On the morning of October 13, the 7th Shandong Cultural Industry Expo Fair “Qilu Culture Protection Inheritance and Innovation Development” high-end forum was held in Jinan. More than 40 experts and scholars from both inside and outside the province expressed their views on topics such as "Inheriting and Carrying Forward the Excellent Tradition of Qilu Culture", "Promoting the Creative Transformation and Innovative Development of Qilu Culture in the New Era" and "Deeply Digging and Integrating Shandong's Rich Cultural Resources". They spoke freely and conducted a lively academic discussion. The forum has achieved fruitful results.

Zhang Xinzhi, head of the comprehensive group of the Office of the Organizing Committee of the Shandong Cultural Expo, Zhang Fenglian, director of the Scientific Research Organization Department of the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, delivered speeches. Tu Keguo, director of the Institute of Cultural Studies of the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, presided over the meeting. Professor Cai Degui, doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Advanced Studies of Confucianism at Shandong University, Liu Zongxian, researcher at the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences, Niu Guanheng, Associate Research Fellow, Institute of Contemporary China, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, researcher Tu Keguo, director of the Institute of Cultural Studies of Shandong Academy of Social Sciences gave keynote speeches. A dozen of experts and scholars also made wonderful speeches around the theme.

The theme of the 7th Shandong Cultural Industry Expot is “New Era, New Kinetic Energy, New Creativity, New Development”. It is an important cultural platform for Shandong to fully implement the new and old kinetic energy conversion major projects, give full play to the rich advantages of Qilu cultural resources, and promote the development of Shandong cultural industry.It has increasingly become a regional cultural exhibition with significant influence throughout the country.

Experts at the meeting believed that Qilu is a place endowed with the fine spirits of the universe,  gathering of talents, a state of ceremonies. We must promote the creative transformation and innovative development of Qilu culture in the new era. This is the deepest and most lasting spiritual force in the construction of a modern province. The inheritance, protection, innovation and in-depth excavation and integration of Qilu culture are new ways to build a strong province of Shandong culture and promote the development of Shandong cultural industry.

Experts further pointed out that the development of Qilu culture should not only be based on Shandong's high-quality cultural resources, but also insist on Internet thinking, promote the integration of Qilu culture and technology, finance, tourism, etc., improve the expression level of Qilu culture, and renew the vitality of the outstanding tradition of Qilu culture.

Finally, experts at the meeting stressed that it is necessary to further build Qilu Cultural Heritage Innovation Demonstration Zone, strengthen cultural heritage and cultural relics protection management, and build a number of exhibition venues and cultural projects that can reflect Qilu's cultural style and characteristics, and promote cultural construction of strong province and  the further development of the industry.
